The Night I Lost Your Love-Villanelle

The night after we said goodbye
Morning will never be the same
Why the feelings have to die?

Bed’s cold, where we used to lie
Now you’re gone, I’m almost insane
The night after we said goodbye

The world is unfair, I may say
Losing you never crossed my mind
Why the feelings have to die?

How I miss your pretty smile
Will I ever see you laugh again?
The night after we said goodbye

I am so lost, I cannot lie
Without you I am undone
Why the feelings have to die?

There are days I wish I could fly
And all these pain inside be gone
The night after we said goodbye
Why the feelings have to die?

About R.S. Mallari

Through poetry I am trying to break the barriers of ethnicity, cultures and even beliefs for we humans have the same emotions, the same desires and aspirations. We may differ in colors, in language, and food that we eat yet we are still living under the same sun, swimming and sailing on the same seas and sleeping under the same stars.

Through poetry we can inspire others, we can make someone smile and words can make others cry be it of joy or sadness.
