Physics of Love

Why am I lost and float?
Every time you are near
Is buoyancy at work?
But no presence of water

My heartbeat rivals
The speed of sound and light
Velocity is in upheaval
Whenever you’re at sight

The radiance of your presence
Explodes like that of a supernova
That puts me in a trance?
Or this is just my paranoia

When you smile back at me
I feel as if I’m about to take off
Almost defying Earth’s gravity
Maybe it’s just my foolish thoughts

Whatever it is that I feel
That Science can never explain
Delusional, crazy and illogical
One thing will always remain...
The mystery of my love for you
