The Great Escape

Blank stare on the wall
Head spinning with dark thoughts
Spirit begins to crawl

Walking away from the light
Eyes begin to swell and soak in tears
Towards the cold of night

Lost in the woods
Face covered with trembling hands
Scared and disoriented

Then complete silence
Reality slipped, comes reverie
Unreal but devoid of hurts

In a world no one can reach
In a realm where nobody preach

3 REACTIONS:

  1. Ronald,
A very full and personal journey. I admire the honesty in the words.
    Looking forward to brighter days.
    Best wishes, Eileen

Through poetry we can inspire others, we can make someone smile and words can make others cry be it of joy or sadness.
