The Undeserving

Far Off

Take me far off,
So I never come back.
Where I don't have to look her into the eye.
Or witness her ghosts when she passes by.

Take me far off,
So I never come back.
Or wipe the times, when I made her whole.
I'm down in my weight, how do I carry her soul?

Take me far off,
So I never come back.
Where no one seeks answers.
Baby, will you ever see my monsters?

Take me far off,
So I never come back.
And I'm not your angel, open your eyes.
Wipe the glass, here stands the devil in disguise.

The Ugly Differences

The ugly difference was,
She meant something to me.
But I was her everything.

The ugly difference was,
She could make me happy.
But I could make her sad.

The ugly difference was,
She held some space in my heart.
But I filled hers to the brim.

The ugly difference was,
She was the sparkle in my night.
But I was her night sky.

The ugly difference was,
She was the spark to my fire.
But I was her fuel.

Take Her Heart

There, I take her heart,
She says I give it lands.
There, no looking back as I depart,
She collapses with desolate hands.
There, I take her heart,
And how I said I'll stay.
There, I toss it into the void,
All the way she'd been astray.
There, I take her heart,
For the night, I get warmth and glow.
There, I leave as I look for more,
The ashes shall fly when come blow.
There, I take her heart,
Never sure if I deserved.
There, I wreck the art,
Still no clue she ever gets to why I ever swerved.

The Promises

If a promise is meant to be broken
Trees are meant to be dormant
Leaves are meant to be pale
And fruits are meant to be tasteless.

If a promise is meant to be broken
Oceans are meant to be calm
Seas are meant to be sweet
Rivers are meant to be dry.

If a promise is meant to be broken
Hurricanes are meant to be repairing
Storms are meant to be silent
Breezes are meant to be toxic.
