Anatomy of a Mother (Unconditional Love Poem)

Gentle hands that heal
When you can not feel
Loving touch that's real
Can even make you kneel

Willing ears that listen
When you feel forsaken
Assuring words be given
Clouded mind enlightened

Open mind that cuddles
Embracing lame excuses
No matter how senseless
Accepting your innocence

Heart beyond tolerance
Asylum of grievance
A Fortress of defense
Whenever in distress
Mothers are martyrs not by chance but by choice
Who do you run to when you stumble? Who is that somebody that can make you feel better in spite of your failures? She listens but would never judge. She just know what to do and say when everyone seems to distance themselves from you in times of troubles. She is that one person who shall not forsake you.. She is your Mother.
