Friends of Mine

Friends of mine
Friends of all kind
do you mind?
I am about to sink
in a well that stinks
will you "lend" me a hand?

we have fun
we have sung
will you run?
now that I am lost
when I need you the most

regrets, I have none
all of you I have known
I’ll forever cherish the bond
should you mind
or you will run
let go of my hand
I’ll understand

forever be thankful
if you must, call me a fool
you are my Friends
lament, not even
and if and when
the wheel turns
Me at the top again
I’ll look down,
all of you I will find
and “give” you my hand

About R.S. Mallari

Through poetry I am trying to break the barriers of ethnicity, cultures and even beliefs for we humans have the same emotions, the same desires and aspirations. We may differ in colors, in language, and food that we eat yet we are still living under the same sun, swimming and sailing on the same seas and sleeping under the same stars.

Ronald,
Very emotive words. I do hope you have good friends who are there, close to lend you a hand.
I also hope that words of encouragement sent from afar, will also help you.
Best wishes,
Eileen

Through poetry we can inspire others, we can make someone smile and words can make others cry be it of joy or sadness.
