The Oldness of Young Love

By Milo

She says, "It's warm today," and I agree
and she's still here and I am too and so's the weather.
"It shouldn't be this warm in May at tea,"
she says. It's warm today. And I agree,
that May can be quite fickle, just as we
have seen the fickleness of May in years together.
She says its warm today and I agree
and she's still here and I am too and so's the weather.

"When you find that true love and the perfect partner for you, no matter how imperfect humans are; hold on to that somebody whatever it takes. Nothing can beat the happiness of growing old with the one you really love. In the end when all seems to get old and hair starts to turn grey, what will matter is there will be someone to hold you when you are cold, someone who will say that it will all be alright when you can no longer walk.Someone to caress you when the pain seems so unbearable and most of all somebody who will listen to you when everyone seems to be annoyed by you." - R.S. About R.S. Mallari

Through poetry I am trying to break the barriers of ethnicity, cultures and even beliefs for we humans have the same emotions, the same desires and aspirations. We may differ in colors, in language, and food that we eat yet we are still living under the same sun, swimming and sailing on the same seas and sleeping under the same stars.
