No Happy Ending

By: Christian Minor

When the battle is lost,
your hopes start to fade;
when the empty gun is tossed,
there is no helping aid.
You lost what you love,
there is nothing to save,
though you pray to above
you won't get what you crave.
Nothing is left, nothing can happen,
no more use for your very best weapon.
It's over and you just can't change,
all goals are now out of your range.
What you loved you can never regain,
you are left with your life now in vain.
Sorry my friend, there is nothing to say
that could help or take your pain away.
For some of us there is just no mending,
we live a life with no happy ending!

About R.S. Mallari

Through poetry I am trying to break the barriers of ethnicity, cultures and even beliefs for we humans have the same emotions, the same desires and aspirations. We may differ in colors, in language, and food that we eat yet we are still living under the same sun, swimming and sailing on the same seas and sleeping under the same stars.
