The Night You Said I Love You

Imagoura Kasumi Coast10o4592

I heard the birds sing in the silence of the night
upon knowing that you also care for me
I saw the light of day in the darkest of night
soon as you said those words I’m longing to hear

Joy came to me like that of the ocean’s waves
knocking me off my feet, with smile on my face
unearthly happiness conquered all my doubts
my fragile heart almost jump out of my chest

Now, a castle I am building to be our love nest
a home that we can share with all its goodness
no, do not look for it my lovely beloved
feel it, listen to my heart and yours instead

It’s a world created out of the love we share
a home that can only be felt but not to be seen
a wondrous place opened up for me and you
the night you told me, YOU love me too.

About R.S. Mallari

Through poetry I am trying to break the barriers of ethnicity, cultures and even beliefs for we humans have the same emotions, the same desires and aspirations. We may differ in colors, in language, and food that we eat yet we are still living under the same sun, swimming and sailing on the same seas and sleeping under the same stars.

It's an amazing feeling to be loved and hearing that being said by a loved-one is one of the most perfect moments. :)

Yes it is, nothing can beat that moment of happiness.

Through poetry we can inspire others, we can make someone smile and words can make others cry be it of joy or sadness.
